Hydrograph: Revolutionizing Clean Technology and Rooting in Austin

Situation

HydroGraph, a Canada-based advanced materials company, had reached the limits of its previous locations. With corporate headquarters in Vancouver and operations in Kansas, the company needed a deeper engineering talent pool and proximity to key industries to fuel its next stage of growth.

Why Austin?

Texas quickly emerged as the best fit for HydroGraph’s future, offering a suite of opportunities across the state that made it the right long-term home. Within that landscape, Austin stood out as the headquarters location, thanks to its deep pool of engineering talent, strong quality of life, and proximity to resources critical to HydroGraph’s supply chain strategy.

With its headquarters here, HydroGraph is positioned at the center of a thriving hub where advanced materials can scale across defense, aerospace, and automotive industries while Austin and Texas as a whole will benefit from Hydrograph’s multiple US & International university partnerships for critical mineral research and application.

Austin gives us the right mix of talent, culture, and opportunity. The reception from employees and partners has been fantastic, and we’re excited to build the future of HydroGraph here.

- Kjirstin Breure, Chair, President and Chief Executive Officer of Hydrograph
Outcome

HydroGraph’s Austin headquarters will serve as the company’s central hub for scaling production and managing North American operations. From this base, the team is finalizing buildout of its new facility, hiring specialized engineering and technical staff, and preparing for customer delivery at a larger commercial scale. Furthering their Texas roots, the company will build a production facility near Houston due to a strategic partnership that grants access to a high-purity acetylene pipeline.

The relocation also gives HydroGraph direct access to key industries where its products are applied — including defense, aerospace, automotive, and energy — while embedding the company in the region’s growing clean tech ecosystem. By operating in Austin, HydroGraph can accelerate pilot projects with customers, strengthen relationships with U.S. partners, and contribute to a community of companies driving innovation in sustainable energy and advanced manufacturing. This foundation positions HydroGraph for long-term growth in North America’s clean technology and advanced materials markets.
