Approximately 59,100 available job postings were available during the November 2023 monthly reporting period, an increase from 57,700 postings when compared to October 2023. There were 22,048 new (first-time) job postings, a decrease of 2,892 first-time postings when compared to the previous month.

There were approximately 70,000 available job postings during the August 2023 monthly reporting period, 6,000 less postings than the previous month. New (first-time) postings increased by 2,590 to 27,524. New job postings in August 2023 represented 39% of all available job postings – 6% more than in July. New job postings increased by about 10-15% in the Austin and San Antonio metros and 6-7% in the Houston and Dallas metros compared to the prior month.

There were approximately 76,000 available job postings during the July 2023 monthly reporting period, a few hundred more job postings than the previous month. New (first-time) postings decreased by 1,086 to 24,934. New job postings in June 2023 represented 33% of all available job postings – 2% less than in June. New job postings dropped by about 5% in the Austin, Houston, and Dallas metros compared to the prior month.

There were approximately 75,500 available job postings during the June 2023 monthly reporting period, approximately 10,500 less job postings than the previous month. New (first-time) postings increased by 189 to 26,020. New job postings in June 2023 represented 35% of all available job postings – 5% more than in May. New job postings grew in the Austin and Houston MSAs, while those in Dallas decreased very slightly.
