Opportunity Austin Honors Top Innovators at 2024 A-LIST Awards

Austin, TX – October 28, 2024 – Opportunity Austin celebrated the 13th annual A-LIST Awards at The Long Center for the Performing Arts, recognizing outstanding startups and businesses that are driving Central Texas’s innovation ecosystem forward. This year’s event featured nominees across multiple categories, showcasing the diversity and impact of Austin’s entrepreneurs.

The A-LIST Awards exemplify Opportunity Austin’s commitment to strengthening Central Texas as a global innovation hub. As part of this mission, Opportunity Austin champions local startups and scaleups by drawing capital investment from around the world, fostering an ecosystem where creativity and commerce thrive. Our region’s high ranking in VC investment, supported by a young and tech-savvy workforce, demonstrates Austin’s continued growth as a destination for innovation. Initiatives like the Austin Innovation Ecosystem platform further connect global investors with Austin-based companies, showcasing the dynamic talent and transformative potential that make Central Texas a powerful force in the global economy.

The categories celebrated growth across all stages of funding, including Bootstrapped, Seed, Series A, Series B, and Series C+. Additional awards highlighted outstanding achievements in artificial intelligence (AI), international startups, C-suite leadership, and venture capital.

Award winners were selected by a panel of industry experts based on criteria like growth, innovation, and community impact. Tyson Tuttle, Founder & CEO of Circuit, was named the 2024 Ecosystem Leader of the Year for his significant contributions to Austin’s innovation landscape. Tyson’s leadership has driven transformative change, empowering the tech community through his vision and commitment to purpose-driven innovation. We also celebrated the People’s Choice Award, decided by public vote, bringing the community’s voice into the recognition process.
