Austin ranks 10th among the top 50 U.S. metros, adding 18,500 jobs (1.4% growth) in the year ending May 2025.

As we close out the first quarter of 2026, the strength of the Austin region’s diversified economy is clear, both in the data and across our communities.

There were approximately 67,477 available job postings during our January 2026 monthly reporting period, a decrease of 1,710 from 69,187 postings when compared to December 2025.
