British AI video company opening downtown Austin office: London-based Synthesia announced on April 21 that it would be opening an Austin office to add to its global footprint. The 8,000-square-foot space at 119 Nueces St. will start off with 12 employees. The company plans to triple its Austin headcount by the end of the year.

In 2024, the next-generation molecular diagnostics company announced its expansion from Menlo Park, California, to Austin, Texas. This expansion marks a significant life sciences addition to the Austin region, further cementing the city’s status as a hub for innovation.
