A Mid-Year Reflection
As we reach the halfway point of 2025, the Austin region continues to build momentum. We’re attracting global attention, driving innovation, and seeing positive development in industries like life sciences. That was on full display at BIO 2025, where our region stood out on a world stage. Companies from across the country and around the globe are interested in Central Texas as a place to grow. All of that makes us hopeful about our economy and the competitiveness of our business community. But what also makes this region special is our people.
Earlier this month, historic flooding impacted families and businesses across Central Texas. In the face of loss, our region responded the way it always does: by showing up. We’re grateful to the first responders, local officials, and neighbors who continue to lead recovery efforts and support those in need.
That spirit of connection and resilience is seen, not just here, but well beyond. It is a powerful reminder of what sets this region apart.
